Olivia and Bridget had so much fun making these parts that come together in harmony using paint, tissue paper, feathers, fancy trimmings and other odds and ends. Not only do they have a treasure that reminds them of their BF status but they have a memory of a super fun day!

Summer is the perfect time for making bracelets! Jade challenged herself to make something cool, something she’d seen before and by George, I think she’s got it! Stringing beads together macrame style with a button closure made a bracelet worth wearing.

Sometimes a shape sparks inspiration.
When Tia saw the oval shaped bowl in the paper cups a plates bin she knew it was the start of something good. Working with her mom she made a flat top to cover it and the real fun began. She covered it in fabric, painted it, made a sail for it and even made a character in a ten gallon hat to steer it.
She and her mom had such fun working together. Now they have a cool creation and memories to last a lifetime. I’ll bet they did a test run of their new nautical treasure at home in the bathtub.

Can it fly? Sure it can.
That’s what I think when I look at this plane. It has the important elements to do it. It’s light, it has good weight distribution and an aerodynamic nose.
Carter had fun putting his plane together, he tinkered, layering the components to make it just right. The empty plastic bottle serves as an excellent hub for weightless soaring. How fun it would be to take it to the park and try it out!

This school year went by in a flash but not before Max made on last school assigned book report project!
In this perilous scene the characters of the Magic Treehouse series are about to narrowly escape the jaws of a giant shark!
Using scale to his advantage along with a few varied boxes Max did a fine job creating the scene he had read about right down to ocean waters so blue.

Blocks are key for this kind of process so finding a few styrofoam blocks was a perfect score to make this stacked robot.

Mash-ups are fun in eco art. That is what re-creating is all about. Nate loves to mix and match stuff to make hybrid versions of their former selves, that’s why he invented these “Corkonicle” characters.
He had a blast fusing corks with parts from old bionicle characters that he found in the Small Treasures bin. His imagination soared!
Now he has a crew of characters for hours of play and fun.

Ever was inspired by an egg carton creation he saw at the studio, something from one of last summer’s CReATE You Tube at home workshops.
He had such fun making his own little creatures that he started to put them together in an homage to his dad, a very creative guy I understand. It seemed only fitting that this creation be an homage to ALL dads who are such an important half of what makes every child whole! Happy Fathers Day Dads!
