Hearts a fire!

More heart creations this weekend made the studio a lovely place to be. We had various mediums at work with paper, twine, mod podge and paint to bring warm ideas to life. Hearts were a futter for sure.
I love my job.

More Hearts

My Aunt Laura sent these images via Facebook. Seeing hearts anywhere is magic.
The world wide Web brings the world closer, right to our desktop even. These hearts come from afar I am sure. Thank you for sharing the love!

Hearts

This month we invite you to share heart images with us. They are everywhere in the crafty and the everyday. My friend @vanityvanis on instagram share this one with me, so I share it with you.
Nature often provides the truest expressions of love through what we know as our symbol of love, the heart. Here melting snow reminds us of the universal shape that unites us all.

Valentine’s for Veterans

We had a great time making Valentine’s for Veterans last night during our Free after hours workshop! Glitter, glue and all things Valentine were on hand to inspired a little love to share.

These happy love notes will go to the West Hills Chapter of the Disabled Veterans Organization.
Thank you all all you are, have done and do Veterans!
We <3 you!

Material of the Week 2/10-2/16

Ball Point Pens!
They are so versatile. Use them in their true form or take them apart for parts!

Pizza Savers

Kyle’s younger sister loves the T.V. show Dr Who, who’s namesake regularly uses his “Sonic Screw Driver” tool for just about every challenging task.
Finding a slew of plastic Pizza Savers inspired Kyle to make a Sonic Screw Driver for his sis. He had so much fun meticulously crafting this fictitious gem, he made one for himself too. At the sight of his smart tools, requests rolled in from the other friends who were enjoying the studio visit too. All in all , four fine Sonic Screw Drivers were made, each as detailed as the next. Watch out Dr Who, you have some savvy competition!

Hearts Abound

Keeping an eye out for hearts isn’t hard at an art studio, especially when we are thinking Valentine’s Day all February long. We have however, found a few interesting and sometimes unexpected hearts making their way on the scene.
Twisted hangers made lovely hearts to see. Making lunch before work, a heart showed up to say, Love! And, a mobil created dangling, dancing hearts to make us all feel good inside.
You just never know where you will find a sweet little reminder.

Material of the Week 2/3-2/9

Metallic Cording
What wonders this material can be, stanchion cords for an Oscar party, wiggle worms for little ones or Alien arms, who knows..

Seed Pods

This fantastic dragonfly took just minutes to create following a likely spark of inspiration. Inspirations come like bursts of light that want to be captured.
Myanh caught her inspired thought while her daughter and friends created a collaborative fairy house using the natural things bin. A collection of interesting seed pods looked too much like wings not to be them. And so it was, a dragonfly…
