Coffee Lids!
One of the first recycled creations I saw was a car made of two coffee lids taped together and paper wheels to make it go.. What can you dream up this week?

The beauty of a sunrise, a lesson learned, time to paint and ponder, a thank you note and new uses for T.P rolls were this weeks posts for simple moments in everyday @createstudio
Cardboard saves the day..
Even though Lauren knew she wanted to make an owl when she arrived at CReATE she needed some time to formulate the kind of owl it would be. There was a lot to consider, should it be round, soft , flat or 3D.
Staring with a fresh piece of cardboard was just the right move. She had a nice base with which to build on by layering her pickings one by one to make the happiest owl created with lots of fun textures and just the right pop of yellow.

Watching someone get caught up in a creative moment when they are not expecting to is a bit like watching them dance to music that that was too infectious not to move to. It’s inspiring.
A cardboard coffee tray seemed to be the conduit for this resourceful character. Believe it or not, I had never seen these simple pieces put together to make a caricature. Now I’ll see trays and hangers a different way , as potential bodily components beyond their lines and shapes.
In this process I was given a different view and now I see different possibilities.
Now isn’t that what art is about?

This weeks wow is a family affair. Mama Sharon and two of her brood, came in for a CReATE date! Lennox had something special in mind, a chair for her Barbie. After family consults the chair idea was expanded to include a dining table which looked best with place settings for six.
The whole family worked on this lovely process to make a meal fit for a queen. They added the tiniest of details like straws (made of toothpicks) in glasses of milk (made of cut straws filled with glue)and shell plates with salad (beads). Every detail was thought of, even the napkins were pressed.
I hope I get invited to dinner.

This week CReATE’s featured posts seemed to have a common thread between them. They each stemmed from a thoughtful place. The awesome Fenway Park was made by two boys who wanted to make a gift for a friend. A birthday tiara and pendant was made for a special cousin’s birthday. A mailbox sticker spouts a positive perspective for all and furry pet adornments and toys will do good for those in need.
Sharing kindness is what makes the world go round.
Check out the good @createstudio
