Another week of wonder shared @createstudio on instagram. We’ve loved the beautiful sky patterns, some hot glue lovin’, super cool batteries charging, bitty bots, a chalkboard heart, a new version of the Rubbernecker game and the answer to the missing sock query. Whew!
Nolan loves to play games but often finds that he can think of better elements than the games his family buys have so, this week he came into the studio on a mission to make his version of the game “Rubberneckers”. Turns out his version has been quite an endeavor to embark on as he cut, stamped and stickered challenge cards for all 50 US States! As I watched him work with his mom I could see that he has been up to this challenge! I love that CReATE can be a place where big ideas can be explored.
Nolan says that for me to play his game I would have to go along for a ride in the car. His version looks so fun, I may just try to invite myself along sometime.

This week at CReATE we had a happy birthday, spooky spider rocks, art exploration, a temple for all, Pinspired creations and a game board Deer were our instagram picks @createstudio.
Will Amanda be a furniture designer one day? I wonder…
She made a bed fit for a queen with it’s fancy silk bedspread and delicately yarn wrappers pillows. She even added a floral motif to the refined silhouettes of the head and foot boards. No doubt a barbie will feel well rested after a night sleeping here.
Imagination is a wondrous thing.
Sometimes the inspired triggers are obvious to me when I see creations unfolding, other times I wonder what started it all. In the end that doesn’t so much matter as that the opportunity to explore it was seized. Maybe the famous expression could have a partner saying, “Seize the inspiration” (it will fly away if we don’t catch it).
