#thirtydaysofthanks

Thankful day 30 saves the best for last, love and friendship are our greatest gifts. Laughing, sharing, caring and bearing one another’s experiences and by far the greatest. Hug someone you love today. It will make you feel so good.

Thank you for being part of our #thirtydaysofthanks this month. May the coming year be the best yet.

Thankful day 29 is for the random stuff of life. Random can be very inspiring. Things can seem arbitrary on their own but when assembled with some purpose they take on a whole new  vibe.

Thankful day 28 is for wabi-sabi, the Japanese aesthetic for the imperfection of things. The beauty of a crack or a chip or a scratch etc. in something that has been used and worn. It’s the idea that there is beauty in something like a tea stained cup with the stains representing the many cups of tea, the many thoughtful moments or conversations that occurred while the tea was being sipped.

Our work tables are very wabi-wabi and we love them. There are so many creative memories in them.  What wabi-sabi treasures do you have at home? Take time to think of the memories that accompany the wear and tear. They just might make you giggle.

Material of the Week 11/27-12/4

Tennis Ball Containers are cool in style and cylindrical in shape making them a great material for making all things transportation, structural or fantasy. We can’t wait to see what they become this week.

Thankful day 27 is for our planet. We are lucky to be here, to have it’s innumerable resources at our fingertips and lo live in it’s ongoing beauty. There is wonder in every direction.
We use recycled materials at the studio because we love our planet and it’s abundant wonder.
Thank you Mother Earth.

This bears repeating.. Thankful day 26 (from 2015) is about being thankful for this moment. Most of what worries us is in the future or the past. This moment is where we are. There’s not another one like it!…

Thankful day 25 is for the people who teach us things. Learning new skills, tasks and abilities keeps us on our game.
We’re excited to have textile artist Renee Fly of @flygurl_designs to the studio next Sunday (12/4) from 2-5 to teach us fun and easy printing skills to make holiday ornaments you’ll love. $25 per person/ 6 ornaments each. Let’s learn!

The gift of Creativity

Looking for a little something to give this season?
The gift of creativity is always nice with our Gift Certificates for individual or multiple studio visit options and our $5.00 Eco Goody Bags!
On their own they are the perfect little something to give but together they make quite a crafty pair!
We’re open today from 11am-6pm so drop by and grab a set!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thankful Day 24 is about Family. However big or small our families are, whether they are with us or no longer so, related or unrelated, we have roots because of each other and thats a good thing.
Happy Thanksgiving! We hope you have a wonderful day with one another.

We are closed today to be with our families. We’ll be open from 11am-6pm tomorrow for creative business as usual. See you then!

Day 23 of our annual #thirtydaysofthanks countdown brings us to mess. What would we do without it?
It helps us appreciate order, inspires big ideas and lets us really get into what we’re doing. It is  in the roughness of the mess that a diamond appears and we love it.
Mess more, it’s quite freeing.
