Learning Fun.
Thursday, April 6, 2017Thanks to Ascension Lutheran School K-2nd grade classes for welcoming CReATE to their campus today for hands-on project fun with an emphasis on new life. They were awesome creators who met their creative goals to make everything from eggs in nests to insects to blossoming trees! Way to go learners!
Creativity is in the eye of the beholder and that’s exactly how these kids brought their “blueprint drawing” to life. Their drawings have them a self guide instruction manual as one student put it, to help them achieve their goals and compete their projects in a stress free, self motivated way. Now that’s learning fun!
Good idea!
Thursday, April 6, 2017Brody had a great idea to visit CReATE STUDIO for materials for a school project he is doing at home.
We had a great idea to offer him a CReATE ON YOUR CAMPUS Fill-A-Bag that he could use to collect the materials he would need.
We ask for a $10 donation that goes right to our C.O.Y.C program which gets campuses set up with easy reuse systems for their campus materials, establishing endless possibilities for creativity in project based learning or in an open-ended way.
This way he can work at his pace at home. Maybe he spends an afternoon working or, a few snippets of time over the weekend. He took a bit of CReATE with him and has it at his disposal and we like that our bag is ready when his creativity is ready.
What a win!

Reuse Day 1
Saturday, April 1, 2017Here we go with #30daysofreuse
Lest start with tins, we have a batch of tins we are readying for reuse at the studio for creative purposes but tins can be great for practical reuse too. Reuse them to hold a mini sewing kit, first aide kit for a purse, backpack or briefcase or to hold little mementos. The have way more life in them than just their durable package. Let us know how you reuse yours!
Believe…
Wednesday, March 29, 2017We fancy ourselves a robot making factory. If you can imagine it, you can make it.
Lots of kids like to make robots at CReATE. Robots and recyclables are meant to go together. They make great robot parts. Having ideas, then making them into something physical is what creativity is all about. Believe in your ideas. They can become real.
Community
Monday, March 27, 2017Really gratful to have collaborated with these awesome ladies from Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Families and Glamour Party Girls. Together we created an eco fashion show for good in our community yesterday. Great day!
Its so nice to be a part of a community that looks out to one another. The Conejo Valley is like that. There are so many people who care about the needs of others. We can always count on support for ideas that speak to kindness and connection. This time we added a sprinkle of environmental awareness too. With Earth Day around the corner that will be getting a spotlight to.
I love this picture captured by Kelly of Glamour Party Girls during our fashion show today benefiting Casa Pacifica.
We were both inspired by this dress made by an AP Environmental student. Capri Sun juice pouches and duck tape were all she used. Thinking outside the box in so many ways. Now that’s sweet.
