To think, gathering together a few everyday things and putting them together in a vision you can foresee creates a setting like this.

I want to be there with these mermaids, perhaps lounging on the hammock. This scenes reminds me of a page from the book series Look-Alikes by Joan Steiner. Isabella brought corks and mesh and other simple stuff  to bring life to her beachy scene. What a fun place!

A few screws, a cardboard mouth, and two button eyes make this can  the happiest guy in town! Simply great!

Some of the simplest creations are the most heart warming.

Often we start parties with an ice breaker craft, something to get the kids warmed up to their free form art experience.

This little  guy got the party started right. Using just a few materials to bring this rock to life, Lexie made a sweet little friend that will always warm her heart.

Isabella was inspired by a sample creation of three little cork ladies at CReATE.

She gathered some wares and put together this little gem of a cutie cork lady with felt, a few pretty buttons, some string and a bit of foam for the hat. She even braided the little dolls hair too. What a treasure!

Alexandra got a bright idea when she saw a hanger in the hanger bin with the hook broken off. She set to finding other materials that would make her idea work, two corks, some stretchy string, a skewer and some foam. What she created was a smart looking bow and arrow set that really worked!

You can imagine how good felt when she saw her arrow soar!

Could the first Triumph motorcycle have started here as a simple, crafty manifestation of a childhood thought ?

For Logan, this may well lead to future inventions that keep us moving.

A few tin cans, a shoe box, CDs and TP rolls galore helped make the idea of a  motorcycle come to life. This  transportation assignment objective was achieved, a school project Win/Win-Vroom Vroom Vroom!

 These birds of a feather flock together with stuffed socks, felt, paper, beads and a few other birdie bits. What fun it was to see each of the kids inspired by one another and the feathery friends they were making.

Marlena and her mom re-created Annie Oakley’s glorious medal collection honoring her talent and courage for a school project about great Americans using juice lids, ribbon and a few fancy embellishments.
This project is a win/win for sure!

Look at this awesome pup creation made with lots and lots of tissue paper and a a healthy dose of masking tape. These two  friends collaborated to share  in something special. Working together enriched a bond between them and constructed a best friend for anyone who meets their cute little pup.

This school project was so fun to make, Niklas could virtually experience what it must be like to drive a moon rover over crevices and boulders on the moons rocky terrain.This virtual scene stemmed from a need to complete a moon project for school and the interesting prospect a tin mint container provided.

I feel like I am in the passenger seat on this fantastic space odyssey.
