A Glass Soda Bottle

There are times when giving is at the root of inspiration.

This soda bottle was the perfect venue for saying I Love You to someone special. Using paint pens to draw butterflies and ladybugs the transformation from beverage container to flower container began, but the mesh vegetable bag and pretty ribbon closed the deal making this unique flower piece a one of a kind I love you statement.

Toys

On it’s own a nurf ball might be a bit boring. A magnetic dart might loose it’s pull. A toy drill bit no longer has a drill to fit. Now, the fun begins! Put these things together and voila! You have a new toy! With this little guy there are many new stories to tell thanks to a 6 year old mind and the “small treasures” bin at CReATE!

Plastic Easter Eggs

I have never met a plastic egg I didn’t like, this includes these ninja bird eggs made to protect and serve their makers.

These little guys are so cleverly disguised, you would never know they were once Easter treats. A little yarn, some googly eyes, a floppy disk and a few pen parts make these characters nifty ninja knights!

What fun imagination is!

Paint Chips

Looking for an idea for table decorations I took a flip through the IDEA BOOK one afternoon and found a tear sheet from Family Fun Magazine to create this little bird. I chose paint chips from the “Paint Chips and Photo Pieces” bin for colorful flair. It was so easy to put together thanks to our trusted glue guns I was able to create a whole collection of rainbow birdies for my table  display. What a happy result!

Paper Scraps

Even grown-ups need creative time! A place to play with imagined possibilities. Collage is a perfect means for this expression. On an impromptu visit to CReATE  Kama decided to let the creative juices flow and played with paper. The process of mixing paper images sparked even more possibilities with game pieces, greeting cards, buttons, bottle caps and playing cards. The result, a cool collage and a relaxed friend with a nurtured soul. What could be better than that in a busy day?

A Sock

Carina is her name. She is so mysterious. Where did she come from?

Was she an idea first? Just a mere thought that grew so much it became something, someone?

Yes! That is how it went. She began as a thought that became an idea that became a doll for a sweet young girl.

To think a sock with just the right accessories can turn into someone quite fun!
