Thankful

We started off our annual #thirtydaysofthanks campaign today with

our easy project Wednesday idea to make a

Thankful Tree Tie

for our neighborhood tree.

Make a simple sign with paper and string that states your community gratitude and tie it lovingly to a tree (dispose of responsibly when it’s no longer able to inspire).

A little positivity goes a long way!

Inspired…

Well, Reyes Adobe Days is a blast to be a part of and inspiration abounds at the historic Adobe site.

I have the pleasure of providing the art aspect of the event in the Gallery and share space to inspire others with the events Grand Marshall, Agoura Alum, Deena Kastor, Olympic Athelete and World Marathoner.

Cindy Williams of Girls Club Strong and I had the pleasure of spending creative time with Deena and felt truly inspired ourselves. She is wise, she is kind and she knows how to reach for the stars. What a great example for us all.

R.A.D.

We got off to a great start in the Gallery at Reyes Adobe Days last night where adults tapped into their kid-at- heart side with our Pinterest inspired projects, rustic sign making, creative spirit stick wrapping, macrame jar making and @AgouraHills Rocks rock painting.

Today a R.A.D. It’s all about kids and families with those activities and more! Come make a shredded paper pumpkin, a CD owl, a rustic sign or, CReATE your way with our D.I.Y. materials. It’s all free and super fun. CReATE STUDIO and Girls Club Strong continue to help launch @Agoura Hills Rocks with lots more kindness rock painting too.

Join us 11am to 4pm today and tomorrow!

As usual, the studio is open for hands-on from 12-4pm

We look forwArd to a creative day with you!

Paper…

As our spotlight on paper continues this month, we share an easy reuse craft that happens to be a perfect “Creating At Home” project to do.

We took a few cards an cut them in just a few snips into gift tags that are perfect for any gift you give.

You’ll need a greeting card or postcard that’s already seen it’s day.

You need a pair of scissors and a hole punch if you have one. You can also just tape a tag to a gift.

Take your card and cut it into a rectangle, square or other favorite shape making sure to cut out the part of the card you want to feature. For our cards we cutvtriangles then snipped little triangles off the corners to get a traditional tag shape them punched a hole near the top for use with string or ribbon.

So easy.

When your done you’ll have tags for any gifts you have to give. Start now, and you’ll be all set for your holiday and any other gift giving needs.
