Would you look at that…

Pondering the mesmerizing wonders of finger painting, one of the best modes of artistic expression around.

Thinking back on my favorite things about being a mom, I relished the times when I could put all the daily house tasks aside to just be with my kids. It wasnt easy to get there but It was so worth the state of wonder I would climb into as I got present with my kids. There was a deep sense of joy that came from the state of marveling at whatever they were doing that my kids always seemed to linger in. Bliss.

My kids are older now, in college, but I still get to put the (studio) tasks aside and join the kids at the studio in their states of wonder as they tape, glue or finger paint their way through creativity.

Happy Tuesday!

Be sure to drop in and enjoy our  Two for One deal fun where two people create for the price of one all day!

Our featured Material of the Week this week is

“Promotional Materials”

There are fun paper products big and small.

Let your  creativity flow!

Flying…

What started as a messy rock painting morning quickly turned to giant paper airplanes made from book covers donated by our friends at The City of Thousand Oaks.

We were coloring, taping and flying all around the studio.

Woo Hoo!

Flower Power

My niece stopped by our CReATE booth at The First Neighborhood 50th Anniverary party to paint a good vibes rock for our @Westlake Village Rocks campaign on Facebook. Flower power rocks!

Thanks for participating Nicole!

Hands on…

When we say hands on we mean it…

One of many ways to be hands on at CReATE this month is by trying your hand at paper mache like our friend here is.

It’s messy, it’s fun and you can create 3D things with it,  kind of the old school version of a 3D printer process.

Come explore and make with us.

Creative Meet-Up.

We enjoyed a visit from Amgen’ s Transitions group for relocating families.
