Creating for your home

I have chosen the project line-up for our next Pinspired craft night on Friday, March 6th. It dawned on me that the projects I chose are perfect to decorate your home with subtlety.

One of the aspects of each season that I enjoy is an opportunity to nest my home for myself and my daughter. My kids are older now but we all love the simple nurturing that a decorated space provides for us.
Whether you are a serious holiday celebrator or just like to change things up now and again these projects are sure to help shape your space.

My favorite project in the line-up is the bundled farmhouse books because you can stamp any word combination you like. Try your family names, a favorite movie theme or even to say, “What’s For Dinner” in your kitchen.

Each project idea can be an inspiration for something else you dream up or matched to the pictures we chose.

A surprise hit.

I was surprised that apothecary bottles was the hit project people wanted to make during Friday night’s Pinspired Night.
Once the evening got underway and the lady started creating they had the most fun chatting with friends and tinkering with the the old liquor bottles I had available. It was a highlight for me when as they got their creations packed up I heard them say that they had so much fun. They had painted, hot glued and played around with patterns as they created what was intended to be spooky bottles for display. Maybe that project gave them permission to really enjoy exploring without expectation. Apothecary bottles are all about funky. I hope their bottles are proudly displayed on their mantles or tables or bookshelves, reminding them of how much fun they had creating just for fun.

We’re growing a faux cactus at CReATE from an old gym sock. Our friend @kristinavirtuedesigns used her pretty modern calligraphy to wrote a word of support for our sock friend.
Kristina will be visiting our next Pinspired Night on Friday June 1st to help us decorate our own pots with pretty words. You won’t want to miss it!

Love the way these simply chic rustic signs turned out at last Nights Pinspired Project night. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said “Nothing in nature is exhausted in its first use”. Especially not sticks.
