This wigwam at the Satwiwa Center in Newbury Park reminds me of smaller scale creations recent field trip students made for their Indian studies. There is nothing like a hands-on process to deepen learning.
We love having schools visit us for field trips where they can have a fun hands-on experience to connect to their classroom learning.

This is a shoebox discuised as a Turtle with a micro view of its cell system by Gavin. Area middle schools call this “The 7th Grade Cell Project” that students are assigned to do at home. We say, do them with us!
