Creativity

Found this word treasure on Pinterest and it reminded me of how much messy fun we like to have at CReATE!

Weekly WOW!

Anita (2) gets an A for effort as she stays in the creative zone placing shiny trimmings on her painting just so. A for action, again and again. The beauty of creativity is the process in which it unfolds.

Love

Found this little guy by our back door. Sharing a little love with you.

The gift that keeps on giving.

Handmade gifts are the best. They encompass love and kindness and can make time stand still for just a little while.

Do you have anyone you’d like to gift? Come make something special with us. You are sure to make their day.

No-Sew Fun Tomorrow!

Woo Hoo, we LOVE No-Sew T-shirt Totes so much we’re making them at our Crafternoon class tomorrow, 3:30 to 5pm for kids age 5 and up. Space is limited so give us a call to join the fun! These eco totes make awesome gifts!

Inspiration is everywhere!

This wigwam at the Satwiwa Center in Newbury Park reminds me of smaller scale creations recent field trip students made for their Indian studies. There is nothing like a hands-on process to deepen learning.

We love having schools visit us for field trips where they can have a fun hands-on experience to connect to their classroom  learning.

School Projects!

This is a shoebox discuised as a Turtle with a micro view of its cell system by Gavin. Area middle schools call this  “The 7th Grade Cell Project” that students are assigned to do at home. We say, do them with us!

We’ve got tons of materials that make a great fit for projects of all sizes and shapes. The hands-on process flows, the learning deepens and the mess stays with us PLUS,  we give $ back to your school when you do your project with us making a win/win experience for all!

Weekly WOW!

Spirit Sticks of all shapes and sizes wowed us with the flair of all the ladies who made them. Each stick has personal meaning to honor dreams and goals. Powerful.

We had fun hanging out at the Westlake Village City Celebration event today, providing open ended art with our recycled materials.

So Messy!

Sometimes you just have to feel it. Hands on  exploring through touch gives so much information and wonder to the curious toddler. It’s how they process the big, big world.
