It was so fun to watch three generations of women creating the other day.
Daughter, Mother and Grandmother were all a buzz with ideas and possibilities as they mined through bins looking for that one thing that was going to ignite their creative process. June enjoyed watching what her daughter and granddaughter were doing as her creative juices simmered.
She knew what she wanted to do, but how to build it was the question. I became captivated with the layers she used to develop the form into the smart looking owl it became. Under his feathery exterior lies a core plastic water bottle along with a section of plastic apple packaging. Then fabric, then more only textury on the surface. The feathers, by the way, are fake leaves cut into the feathers that now rest on this who’s who of an owl’s span.
