Weekly WOW!

Lucy is participating in the Reflections program through school this year. “What Is Your Story” is the theme.

She used her time at CREATE to create the visual aspect of her submission, a self potrait that gave us a little view of her. This is the portrait of a beautiful girl with a good hearted story.

Pinspired!

Getting some people together for a crafty night where inspiration is the name of the game and creativity wins it all we made last night. The attendees were Pinspired for sure. There were pumpkins and votives and potions galore. The spirit of Fall and Halloween swirled abounded as we created the night away.

It’s a Letter Day!

We have hit the mother load with this awesome donation we received of initial letters in all sizes, styles and materials.
Come into the studio and revamp one so it’s just your style!  Say “letters” when you come in. Regular studio fees apply (no additional charge for letters)

 First come first serve.

So Pretty!

This hot glue painting has me smitten.

I just came across this image from one of our Summer Pinspired Night projects. This project had such easily pleasing results so we’ll have to do it again sometime- how about this Friday night! We have canvases on our project line-up. Keep it pretty or make it spooky, the fun thing about our Pinspired Nights is our Pinterest project picks can go any way you choose!

Join us Friday night for Pinspired Fun and make something that is uniquely you. 7-10pm $25 per person createstudiofun.com/celebrate/pinspired/

Boo!

In the spirit of Halloween fun, come into the studio and make a Boo Bag!

Boo Bags are small bags with Halloween flair that you fill with candy and a paper ghost then leave oat a friend’s door without them knowing.

It’s a fun activity to do in your neighborhood. Once a person has been booed they can post their paper ghost in a window so they don’t get booed again!

Watch as paper ghosts go up in your neighborhood as you boo them.

Sewing!

Today marks the start of our October Sewing class series!
We’re excited to help beginning sewers get familiar with their machine sewing skills during our Intro To Machine Sewing class beginning today at 4pm.
This Thursday we’ll have our Machine Sewing TWO class for kids who want to explore Project Sewing. It also starts at 4pm. Both classes are great for building a love of machine sewing to last a lifetime.

For those interested in hand sewing,  we offer a one session Hand Sewing class next Wednesday. This is a great fit for all ages. Maybe hand sewing is on your bucket list!
Come sew with us this month!

Creating at home idea # 9

Chalkboard Tabletop.

This easy project requires a trip to the  craft or hardware store to begin, but it’s worth it.

Before you go, scout out a table small table at home, a paint brush and a piece of chalk.Perhaps a side table that needs a bit of jazzing up anyway.

Once you have a table decided your going to go out and get a small container of chalkboard paint (no need for more than a quart). There are a number of brand choices these days depending on whether your in a craft store of a hardware store.

With your table clean and paint in hand your ready to paint. Cover just the table top with the chalk paint. Do two coats, allowing dry time between coats. Once the table is painted the lasting fun begins. Now, the whole family  can use the chalk you found to draw seasonal pictures and messages throughout the year. It’s even fun when displaying hors d’oeuvres for company, just write out your cheese and cracker display on the table.

Enjoy!
