Logan wanted to come to CREATE because he had an idea. He wanted to make a 3D Pac Man game that he could play with so with his mom’s help he followed his idea through and created this snappy set complete with a hub, energy buttons and elements. As he showed me the pieces I could see that what he had really created was a conduit for endless hours of play.
Yesterday was a school project frenzy with lots of African Animal scenes. Looking at this Impala in his habitat by Cennzo and his dad reminded me of the awe I have felt looking at the Natural History Museums. I love their diorama rooms with life size scenes that transport you to other places in the world. I learned a bit about the impala too. They can run up to 50 miles per hour!

Love the Mariposa Mama’s enjoying a fun night with our Pinspired twist while supporting their school. CReATE is a great place to host a “Party Book” style fundraiser for schools. Talk about a win/win!

Last week we caught sight of creativity on the form of a new reclaimed space, time in the process of creating, a family tree that branches out, a walk to work day of the feathery sort, a shadow of love, building confidence, field trip fun and a gift @createstudio where a little imagination goes a long way.

Sydney made this family tree for her mom for Mothers Day with tiles denoting the many members on the tree. Her project was ambitious in many ways beyond tracking family traces as it stands 3 feet tall on a thick styrofoam board. She painstakingly paper punched hundreds of tiny leaves to scatter about making it extra treelike. I know her mama must love this gift from the heart with a creative soul.
