Here’s an idea…

Creating at home idea number 8- find a table you you can get messy!

There’s a good chance you have an old coffee table, work bench or dining table at home that has been worked over by  life, so add some color, some doodles or scratches and make it your creativity table, a space for projects that require some free thinking.

A messy, marked up table is like a porthole to new ideas and fresh perspectives. We know this to be true.

Weekly WOW!

Weekly WOW!

A group of ladies visited the studio for a “Self Care Sunday” today where they made canvas expressions that fed their creative wells. Magazine pages, this and that put together vintage just the right way for each. They made beauty that matched their hearts and filled mine. WOW!

Just doodling…

Just doodling on cardboard with a paint brush…Ella ( 11 ) sat and let her creativity flow idly through her fingertips painting the dog she would like to have. She was shedding light on a dream in the most casual way. I bet her dream will come true.

Messy Exploration…

The big reveal during Messy Toddler Art time today.

Happiness…

Sparkly paper plate sunflowers gave us sunny feelings on a cloudy day.

It’s the simple things that make our days fuller.A little reuse goes a long way.

Creating at home…

Loving our no-sew t shirt tote!

This makes reuse idea number 7 for creating at home.

All you need is a tshirt that is ok to cut and a pair of good scissors.

Cut out the neck a little deeper than the neckline then cut off the sleeves and your on your way! Those cuts  become your tote opening and handles!

Cut fringe in about 3/4″ widths around the whole bottom of the tshirt- vertically. We made ours about 4″tall. Then tie one front fringe to one back fringe all the way across the bottom of the shirt and you’ve got a groovy bag! You can do fancy knotting or add beads or other embellishments to bling it up too.

Now, let’s go shopping!

Staffie!

When a large cardboard frame is donated, the obvious choice is to put it to use for a CReATE staff picture.

We make a great team ♡
